A Simple and Rapid Micromethod for the Determination of Serum Iron and Iron Binding Capacity

Abstract
|
|
|
Teepol-ascorbic acid method for the determination of serum iron and iron binding capacity was modified to a micro procedure requiring only 0.2m1 serum instead of 1 to 2m1 serum used in ordinary methods.
This procedure showed good results in the experiments for stability of colored complex, reproducibility, recovery and interfering substance.
This micro method was found simple, rapid and reliable when compared with other macro methods.
